Dear Colleagues,

     On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to cordially invite you to the 1^st International Conference, Patient Safety: From Product to Patient Care and Translational Research, which will be organized by Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), in order to celebrate the 20^th anniversary of Ubon Ratchathani University.  The conference will take place from 20^th – 21^st July 2011 in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand.

     “Patient Safety and Translational Research” has been chosen as the main theme to emphasis the importance of individual treatment because each patient responds to medication in a different way.   To profoundly understand how patient responds to the medication, knowledge from bench to bedside, including drug discovery, toxicity test, drug formulation, clinical research, need to be put together.  Therefore, translational research is a bridge between basic and applied research.  It transforms scientific discoveries arising from laboratory, clinical, or population studies into clinical applications.
